I'm kind of an EU patriot, but if the EU actually passes something like that, I'll open an underground 3D printer factory that gives a shit about EU law. And that's a promise.
I want to see the EU be a beacon of hope in a more and more enshittified world, and not the same numbnuts following other right-wing, authoritarian assholes and incompetent idiots into the same self-destructive societal-suicide spirals. -

@eff The other issue is that you can print a "gun" with all the necessary parts but for it to actually work, you need the right materials. Meanwhile, a realistic looking, non-functional, replica could be quite useful as a theatrical prop. If made out of a soft plastic, it might not be capable of being fired and if you did get the explosive to detonate, it would possibly just explode in your hand.
