@akkana Last fall I had problems where power-related USB errors stemming from apcupsd preceded the system hanging. Apparently apcupsd, the daemon for the APC UPS, was triggering PCIe errors that caused a lockup. The full horror is described at https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1102175
