    More on the destruction of US science:

    Federal science agencies lost more jobs in 2025 (12%) than over the previous TWO decades (8%), including 30% of personnel at NSF, 20% at USGS, NOAA, and NIH. NASA lost 12% (now up to 24% by Jan 2026).

      @petergleick The cost to us as both in terms of quality of human life and economically could take generations to repair, if ever.
