      (newer windows looks worse than 7. to be clear. but 7 was still sterile and ugly)

        @wyatt microslop has utterly failed to make a theming solution as good or better than what they shipped with 95 i think

          @evv42 @wyatt yeah and now they sell you on having two themes of too bright and too dark, with no inbetween as some crazy new feature

            Same goes for Plasma* and XFCE** expecting the user to load externally created ZIP files full of variables and artwork, instead of letting the user go nuts with the color palette.

            *my beloved, except for the Wayland mode running like crap on my Intel Integrated Graphics laptops
            **not as complete (many of the widgets aren't optimized for vertical taskbars) but the tools for configuring taskbar and keyboard shortcuts are less unwieldy
