Fascinating
Because here it's like
Bean is always in stews and such, but not soups
And if you make a lentil soup, there's like a law or something that tells you to flavor it with curry spices... Doesn't matter what kind of curry, but it has to be curry flavored, otherwise it is not a lentil soup.

@miiamustang I would never put beans in a stew. Anything of that sort that has beans would, to me, be either bean soup or chili.
To me, stew only has meat and vegetables

@miiamustang Also, I wouldn't object to lentil soup having curry spices in it, but that's not at all how I would make lentil soup.
I would add salt, pepper, garlic, and maybe cumin. That's really it

Your comment is somewhat funny.
You mention `curry spices´ ... Do you realise that both garlic and cumin - and basically any spice you can think of - are curry spices?
"Curry powder is any of several spice mixes for curry, adapted from but not to be confused with garam masala in Indian cuisine."
Remember the parachute.

@BlameDutchie @miiamustang Yes, I realize that, but if any spice is curry spice, then there's no such thing as curry spice, and this is a moot conversation.
I have no idea what the parachute is

@MLE_online @miiamustang So... You engage in a conversation and when you get a reply to what you say, you call the conversation moot...
Then why engage in the first place?
The parachute: the mind is like a parachute—it functions only when it is open.
Have a nice day.
