@rooftopjaxx @ChrisMayLA6 Well Streeting is not going to get any love from the left, but neither does he have the populist X-factor that might win over working class voters who are being attracted by Reform "just to shake up the system". I admit Labour are in trouble for credible leaders atm. Leaders are an annoying single point of failure and we would do well without them. Sadly...

Then the (more interesting) Q. is how would Andy Burnham vs. Wes Streeting play out, if Streeting gets past an increasingly truculent Starmer?
Or perhaps Burnham wouldn't have the appetite for a second leadership challenge in this Parliament?

I think any new labour leader needs to be someone that is likely from the North. They need to be a voice the contrasts recent leaders. It is shallow but a regional accent will probably help them sound a bit more relatable to the voters that have lost in the last year.

Burnham has to win a seat in Parliament to do anything.

@ChrisMayLA6 True. I don't like Nigel Farage he's a showman. I prefer down to earth (or as down to earth as they can be) politicians.

I think a female leader would be beneficial too. Farage seems to really struggle with his worse tendencies when being spoken to by an intelligent woman.

@ChrisMayLA6 Personally there are only two options and both are on opposite sides of the politacal spectrum; Green Party or Restore Britain.

Let's hope it's not Labour shooting itself in the foot again with months of infighting.
They all need to take a breath and if there is to be a change, then do it calmly not in some media-mad feeding frenzy.
