I always feel very grateful to have been able to see The Cure play live in the mid 90's, even though since I've always preferred 80's Cure musically.
At the time, at 13, I only knew a handful of songs that had been singles, and 'Friday I'm In Love' had been their last big song. But the whole show had been such a mesmerizing experience.
A part of me wishes we could all go back to this time. But another part of me realizes that we need to fight now, so that these times can come around again. When music, art, and culture mattered.
Actual video from their set when I saw them, of the very beautiful song 'In between Days', which I doubt I would have really known at the time, but I recall dancing my little feet off too anyway.
The Cure will always be one of my all time favorite bands.
