I know that you Black people don't like racism or racist people, but that's not what's important right now.
What's important is that a lot of white people *do* like them!
And when you read racists' own horrible words back to them, it gives a lot of these other white people sad feelings!
I know that you Black people prefer Bruce Lee. Especially Black people in Los Angeles and San Francisco and Oakland and Berkeley.
But again, this isn't about you.
@mekkaokereke Bruce Lee sounds nice I heard a lot of things he was saying. he seems pacifist but fights only when needed at least that's what my quirky teacher said.

@mekkaokereke Ironically (and this is a fun one about me), my parents didn’t like Lee (because he cheated on his wife) so as a kid my pencil case was of John Shaft. (We then moved to New Zealand and the white kids had that puny Luke Skywalker on theirs and I had John freaking Shaft.)

Hell, I'm not sure I prefer *anybody* to Bruce Lee. I sit down to watch a Bruce Lee movie and the whole time I'm just going "this is the coolest motherfucker who ever lived."
I only have one Chuck Norris joke I keep in rotation:

He said, "Just because he disagrees with you doesn't mean he's a bad guy."
I shot back with, "Depends on what we disagree on." I never heard another Chuck Norris joke from him. So, mission accomplished I guess.
sigh I bet he says one on Monday, though.

I find it hard to accept this amount of racism and to accept the acceptance of it all around. But this makes it so important to open your eyes to the issue. We cant solve it as long as we CHOOSE not to see it.

@Azuaron @mekkaokereke I didn’t know about Chuck and his views. I have a genuinely heartwarming and funny Chuck Norris story, that is rather personal. I told it to one person yesterday before I found Mekka’s thread, and now I regret telling it.
I’m not glad he’s dead but I’ve got better things to think about and put my energy into. Sure I’m sad about my story, but it is a personal one and I’ll just have to recontextualize and think about it on my own.
