In the early 90s I lived near Finsbury Park in London.

    In the early 90s I lived near Finsbury Park in London. There was (still is) a street, the Fonthill road, that had lots of fashion and clothing material shops on it.

    All independent businesses, no chains. Borderline East London, rag trade as it was known. Two shops names that to this day I cannot forget and are 100% true:

    Cockney Touch (sounds like a threat, not very glamorous)

    Touching Cloth (a fabric shop, makes sense, unless you take into account that's a phrase that also means you need a poo urgently)

            Just checked online and there is a band called that, but it’s not the one I knew, which was at least a decade earlier
