I'm actually quite a fond of these less known cola drinks and I really wanted to like it, until I realised it's one of those where they mix sugar with artificial sweeteners. As usual, I taste nothing but a long aftertaste of whatever they used as that artificial part.
Thanks, but nope. If they are going to put artificial sweeteners in it, why even bother with sugar?

@apzpins
I have a really hard time when they sell a "regular" soda and it contains artificial sweeteners. If I wanted that then I would buy that. I think it was the UK where I'd buy Sprite and then gag when I tasted it
. Maybe Sprite was an outlier example. I'm assuming the government making things healthier for people. -

I just find the artificial sweetener taste overpower the rest of it to a degree where I've left several bottles unfinished when I accidentally bought these abominations.

@apzpins This was on top of my review list before 2023 and sugar content was 8g/100 ml, but apparently they have changed the recipe and added the sweetener?

@aakoskin I think the biggest betrayal here is that I'd only expect cheapo sodas like Pirkka or Rainbow to pull stunts like this. The drinks that are over 10€ a liter are in my books the premium stuff and I'd totally expect them to eat the sugar tax's price hike, or just add it to the cost. When buying a single bottle of something like this, the 20 cent price hike would not change my buying behavior in any way.
But doing something like this is like swapping a burger patty into a dog turd and then being surprised when a customer buys the stuff exactly once.
