@NunavutBirder @EdwinG It isn't a polar bear, it si a cute cuddly, furry white arctic poodle 😉

Are there any cases where one in Nunavit would get his/her car transported to the south to drive around/travel? When I was in Inuvik, I had heard of one rich dude having had his brand new car flown in so it would still look brand new (instead of driver over dusty Dempster).

What happens to old cars in Nunavut? Shipped back to south? or disposed of at sea or elsewhere?

@jfmezei @EdwinG Nunavut residents are allowed to register vehicles in the south. I had Nunavut plates on a vehicle down there at one time. Some folks who travel down often do that. Trouble with the polar bear plates down there is they are often stolen.

@NunavutBirder @bougiewonderland do all the 6 digit plates start with a zero? Never hurts to be ready early.

@NunavutBirder A nice contrast against the NWT design while using the polar bear shape. And interesting choice to have them face off against each other. Or walk away from each other, I guess, depending on which vehicle is parked on which side!
