I'm looking for a new job starting in October!

I'm looking for a new job starting in October! I'm a physicist by training, did a PhD and postdoc in experimental quantum physics. My experience ranges over laser and vacuum technology, physics simulations, data analysis, environmental monitoring services, publication writing and much more.
If you are aware of cool and very science-related opportunities (especially in the #Munich area, definitely Germany), let me know!
#GetFediHired #Germany@ditsch42 not sure whether Milan is too far but I just saw this position today, it's from a quantum computing startup(ish) https://jobs.eni.com/en/sites/CX_1004/job/33246/?keyword=eniquantic&mode=location (fwiw, in the italian version of the ad there was also a salary range)

I don't think we are currently looking for that particular skillset in our offers, but you could give it a peek anyway:

#GetFediHired #GermanyBest of luck on the job hunt!
But:
Move quickly. There are about to be a zillion US physicists (and other scientists) looking for jobs in Germany. They're a tad slow in realizing what a clusterfrack US science funding has become, but they'll figure it out sooner or later.
Hiring them back will take decades. And a lot of them will realize Europe is real nice.

#GetFediHired #Germany@ditsch42 I do not know of any opportunities, but I just finished my bachelor's in physics and am studying for the G.R.E, can I ask where you went for grad school and if you would recommend it? (I am from the US but I want to leave for obvious reasons, and I speak German fairly well)

@jumax9 Interesting, I didn't know that company. Don't really plan to leave Germany at this point though, and we have at least three quantum computing companies in Munich

@djl I feel like that has already had an impact on research positions and funding, where there is suddenly much more competition.

@TruelyNotARobot In Germany you would typically first go for a Master's degree (chances are very slim to get into a PhD program without that). I did that at FS university of Jena and then did my PhD at Leibniz university Hannover, but generally all universities are good, and you should have a look at which one offers the topics you are most interested in. Many people continue as PhD candidates in the research groups where they did their Master's theses.

@necrosis Danke! Klingt nicht schlecht, aber ich glaube ich würde eher was Thematisch Passenderes suchen, wenn ich schon extra umziehe. Und auch noch befristet?

@ditsch42 hoffentlich findest du was in München. Arbeit bestimmt.

@Netzblockierer I am currently at Max Planck, can check what Helmholtz has to offer!

#GetFediHired #Germany@ditsch42 what about quantum computing? The munich area is huge on the topic! You could check out the Munich Quantum Valley community to find all of the members and find one that appeals to you!

@chronologist Thanks, I'm definitely aware of that! It's on the top of my list, but I also wanted to see other options
