This week starts great! Everything is white because overnight, a blanket of snow fell (around 5 inches).

I also need to set an Outlook filter rule with an OR condition (to plonk identical spam from two different source addresses) and to my surprise, this is not possible. So that's great too, because it - again - proves what a shit tool Outlook is (and always was, my usage history goes back to '97). Also, the copium in the MS forums.

@christopherkunz i'm surprised you use Outlook.
I'm always told if I have one inch of knowledge about privacy and security, I have to use Thunderbird.

@Okuna I use Thunderbird for literally everything _except_ creating rules. Rules are hidden behind Outlook Web Access (aka "new Outlook").

@christopherkunz can you please elaborate why you use Thunderbird for mail but outlook for rules…. I am not sure I understand it. As far as I learnt, new Outlook cooperates with 800 plus trackers and ad companies… At least this is what I saw when I last installed it (a year or so ago)n and I stopped immediately the setup process. If you use Outlook, even if only for rules, dont they see your emails and and send all your data to the advertisers etc.?
          Just curious to learn more.

@christopherkunz Looks like Microsoft’s got your back here too — just… with an entirely different tool!
Since you can’t create anything resembling a useful rule or search folder in OWA or the new Outlook anymore, Power Automate is now your new best friend.
And guess what? It even does OR conditions.
Given the right corporate license, of course. 💸
