    I remember. I was there.
It was a typical North Atlantic Storm in wintertime. Harsh waves beating our ship, injuring our crew and even tied into our bunks, it was so cold, there was no chance of survival, we were looking for bodies.

To have just left Newfoundland, and then return, to a community deeply affected by close knit group of families that lost loved ones. Of course we'll never forget you.

@Rasta Seems like there should be a song, in Gordon Lightfoot style. How did you survive?

@tc_morekindness if they didn't drown outright. A rig going down in rough seas. There was no upper deck, we were being washed over in the area. But your time in the water, if you had survival suits.. was limited, and like finding a needle in a haystack on the size of the ocean.

Just one of several losses in my time.
Without a loss of life, we rescued everyone on a floundering ship once, and while watching it, as the last person was being airlifted, a snow squall went by and as it cleared, there wasn't a trace a large ship had ever just been there a minute ago

Down by Peggys Cove, the memorial is the next left turn from the Lighthouse. I went to work and came home 30 hours later, 229 people died on my watch, and my cat.

Especially for the families, but the community rallied and fishermen were the first on scene. Many people in the military had to be released after dealing with it. I didn't believe it was affecting me, since I wasn't on scene. I guess you don't need to be.

@tc_morekindness They prescribe pills too easily. My sleep was never good but I don't want to be a zombie. We had some disagreements about what drugs he prescribes and what works.
I also get medical cannabis but not through that doctor

@Rasta How progressive your country is. Or rather, how backward mine is.
