@wdlindsy This is a great question. I’ve read that pedophiles are hated by prisoners. Often enough, they meet a quick demise in prison at the hands of lifers with nothing to lose. This is the level of outrage we require to deter those who hurt children, especially pedophiles. Protecting children is number 1 priority.

@wdlindsy @meltedcheese these are evil men. But I don’t think that gives an excuse to let “prison justice” run its course. Letting people be murdered in prison is not the justice system flex folks think it is.
We have so normalized rationalizing extra judicial murder that it is now seen as a feature of a system of deterrence. And that sucks as a moral ground to repair a society that dehumanizes everyone including and especially the children who are the victims of sexual violence and murder.
