@RadicalSocialWorker this is SUCH a good list. Speaking of Curtis Mayfield, I did NOT know John Legend and the Roots did this record together in 2010 - did you? It starts out with their take on a Curtis song (there's some rapping in the middle by Black Thought) - what a GROOVE. This is a live studio version. Just wow.
