    matrix chat is fun! I never knew I had to keep an eye on the status of how each message reached each person, like I'm micromanaging my TCP/IP connections.

    what if instead of netsplits, you just had to worry about every single message you ever sent not making it to all users?

                @star @foone

                if you cannot directly communicate with a server, the messages will arrive with
                up to minutes of delay, by-proxy through other servers

                It's really odd to witness

                  @alice @foone I'm picturing this in a certain way. It looks like a deck of cards being shuffled. Over time a continuity is formed.

                    @alice @foone Though personally I am super tired of feeds, I want a navigable smooth-motion ZUI with pan, rotate, flip, scale, the ability to collapse and arrange stacks of the data that composes what we know as "feeds," and generally create and maintain a sense of organic physicality within my computing space. I'm a highly organized chaotic person whose mind is not a series of styled boxes but a multidimensional web of interest and relation.
