Fun thing I learned today at #FediForum. @ozoned runs a show called “It Works on My Machine” where app developers walk him through installing and running their thing, accompanied by fun banter.
That sounds like such a cool way to learn about new open source software.

@julian@activitypub.space oh ABSOLUTELY! I'm not against embarrassing myself if it draws attention to all the amazing folks and projects on the Fediverse.
But it's also educational for the audience as well as the developer. Because seeing how people interpret your docs can help understand how to refine them. And then the video could be used as a rough tutorial for installation if you don't have one.
And I will fall. Lol but I can ask the Dev for help and guidance and we talk about the project, etc.
But like fireside Fedi it's meant to be fun.

lol yeah, it's not getting Federation. It HAS Federation.
Julian has been ACTIVELY developing not only AP in NodeBB, but, and he can correct me if I'm wrong, he's heading up some SWG and some specs.
I'd love to see a better implementation to bring the THREADIVERSE closer to the FEDIVERSE, but right now NodeBB interoperates GREAT with PieFed.

@julian@activitypub.space Yeah, DMs work great, but it seems there's some compatability issues and I'm running Bonfire's bleeding edge so I can never know when something is breaking.
So I'd rather go with plain old boring email atm.
