Germany had 2.5 GW of operational grid-scale batteries in 2025, the largest fleet in the EU Another 10 GW is in the pipeline. Had that capacity been online in 2025, Germany could have avoided €830 million in gas purchases and solar redispatch costs. ember-energy.org/lat...
