I believe that predestination exists for particularly special and holy events. the unfolding of new yugas, the descent of avataras, the divulging of scripture. karma explains much of the story but many people are just blessed beyond their karma, and unlike karma which was caused by them great blessing is always directly from God, and thus could be said to be predestined.

@georgia i think people often misunderstand God’s grace. Grace moves very softly. it is not powerless, it is just not powerful according to the hard way of the world. it is the total softness in all things, bringing things into God fully. in this sense, all good things are by God’s grace and by extension predestined, and we are never apart from it. its just only in select moments that it bubbles over into something that shifts things in massive an unexpected way
