I want to amplify this opinion piece.

The IDU is especially pernicious, but I think the general principle should apply to all Canadian parties. I'm pretty sick and tired of hearing about American consultants being employed by the big parties so they can fuck up our politics like they've been getting paid to do in the United States for the past 30 years.

Political parties need to be given space to act without too much interference, but they should also be forced to do their work *in* the country and should always be challenged when they are spending time and energy aligning with foreign fellow travellers.

The Conservative Party's membership in the IDU is a threat to Canadian democracy

The Conservative Party's continued membership in the IDU isn’t just a national embarrassment: it threatens Canadian democracy.

@SirCharlesTupperBt As far as those American "consultants", feel free to take them ice fishing. Sometimes accidents happen, and people sleep with the fishes. 🤷‍♀️
