I don’t normally do this, but BlueSky hasn’t been great for boosting crowdfunds lately and I received permission to repost this across my socials.
my BlueSky mutual Charlotte (https://bsky.app/profile/gayleywilliams.meangirls.online) and her wife Peggy (https://bsky.app/profile/pegarchism.neocities.org) are a trans lesbian couple who have fallen on hard times. Charlotte was fired from her job due to taking too much time off for an injury, and unemployment still hasn’t been approved. so they’ve both had to rely entirely on donations for rent, groceries, bills and other expenses.
however, Charlotte and Peggy have been struggling to make these payments lately. less traction means less donations. rent has been late twice in a row already, the last time so overdue that they got dangerously close to being evicted.
rent is due again tonight, in about 15 hours. Charlotte does have a very promising job lead, but I’m not sure if the landlord will be forgiving if her and Peggy are late a third time.
