@bloor Depending on the setup behind the link, it could be a "malware scanner" somewhere in the path getting too damn smart for its own good. There have been numerous reported cases of such scanners even making POST requests from one-time links without the user's involvement, invalidating sensitive document transfers and similar. And IIRC a few companies rolling out knowbe4 phishing tests (bleh, but good example) almost immediately got a 100% fail rate because the scanner or some other automation immediately opened all the links upon receiving them.
