Yeah. I can so relate to this man.
When I told my kids, we had no mobile phones when I was their age, they started to wonder whether we had cars or TVs.
Fortunately for them, they did not ask for dinosaurs.

@mloxton @benroyce @TheBreadmonkey @overholt It’s the stripes that scarred me. Bell bottomed trousers with 3” orange, blue, and yellow stripes. Men would wear them. In public. The shame of being a preteen with a father who would wear such things, it has never faded. Verily, did my parents fly the freak flag high...and yet, when I showed signs of growing old enough to enjoy the freedom, they became yuppies and sent me to a convent. In another country. Because, boomers.

I dunno... Those kids knew about WW1, WW2, Queen Elizabeth, Jesus... I mean... Their sense of timescale is off but... They's kids.
I think they're gonna be alright.

time collapses for them. anything "before" happening within the timeframe of their parents age just makes sense to them, because they view their parents as ancient and omnipotent at their young age. it's strangely endearing

— had a clear and complete chronology of humans in their heads: modern humans, pioneers (19th C), Vikings, ancient Egyptians, cave men + dinosaurs (as co-habitants). So easy! -

i've always been confused as to if the ancient aliens that helped the maya are the same ancient aliens that helped the egyptians
