I tested it today and it works perfectly. I'm using it in my own machine. I now offer 64GB RAM, on the Libreboot 3050 Micro sold here:
Minifree Ltd – Libreboot 3050 Micro with 4-core i3-9100T, Intel UHD 630 graphics, 32GB/64GB DDR4 RAM, Intel AX210 WiFi, 1TB/2TB NVMe SSD or 2x1TB/2x2TB (NVMe+SATA RAID1) and Debian Linux

I'm Libreboot's founder. Sales fund the project. Libreboot replaces proprietary BIOS/UEFI firmware. Debian Linux or your choice of distro/BSD installed.

@libreleah
This is the kind of functionality that the coreboot scene should be touting just as prominently as the security perks.
On that note, I wonder how many "crappy motherboards with poorly-designed chipsets" are just normal motherboards with unmitigated BIOS bugs.

@libreleah huh, I didn't expect it to work on any of the B0-stepping CPUs since Intel ark says they only support 64GB max (while the CPUs only available in other steppings that don't work without hardware modifications all say 128GB)
When RAM prices go down I may try 128GB on OptiPlex 5050 SFF/Supermicro X11SSH-LN4F
