    I needed 2 SAS 4TB drives for my NAS. Found a lot of 10 on eBay for $250. Even if only half work, it’s a good deal.

    Now to find a use for the other 8…

      I needed 2 SAS 4TB drives for my NAS. Found a lot of 10 on eBay for $250. Even if only half work, it’s a good deal.

      Now to find a use for the other 8…

          @paco I have a feeling that @jimsalter would probably have his blood pressure go up at seeing somebody trust/use a box of unknown drives of unknown providence and unknown state from eBay. BE VERY CAREFUL. In fact you might want to just not use them…

              @woe2you No no. They were shipped very well packed. This is after I unpacked them and got the proprietary IBM sleds off them.

                  Hidden partitions with badness on them. If you fdisk you're probably ok. Although there is bios malware that survives that stuff but I've been out of hardware too long to know if that applies to drives.
