    My last Corvid - a small sampling of a large and diverse Family of birds. Word wide there are 22 Genera and 136 species (Birds of the World). Twenty species are found in North America, grouped into 9 Genera.

    This is a Common Raven, the largest of the Corvids, and the largest of the Passeriformes (65+cm in length with a wingspan ~117cm). In comparison to crows, the Raven is a tank, almost half again as large. Ravens are incredibly smart; able to solve complex problems.

    Always a thrill to see one of these beautiful birds.

          @oldguy52 I remember reading a guide to corvid identification that said something along the lines of if it makes you say "fuck me that crow's massive" it's a raven.
