@Nonya_Bidniss I would have taken it to mean that the mom is getting the good stuff that she doesn't want to share but now I see what you mean.

Well, sometimes you don't wanna settle for chicken nuggets and spaghetti.
Or, I've snacked enough on meal-in-progress while _making_ dinner Im not hungry when I serve it to the kids.

@cR0w haha now that you mention it yes moms will definitely sometimes hide secret treats from the ravenous hordes too.

Or, I've snacked enough on meal-in-progress while _making_ dinner Im not hungry when I serve it to the kids.@tezoatlipoca I guess I grew up too poor (to include through my young adulthood) to ever consider turning down whatever food we had on the table, but sure if she can afford to be picky I could see that.

@cR0w @Nonya_Bidniss sad. I will admit that I do have a preferred nonalcoholic snack that I make myself when everyone else has gone to bed, though.
