2. People living out thousands of different nightmare stories of revenge and payback and terrorism out of choice.

Utopia never sounded boring to me.
The German people sent their children off to die in a second world war, Germany didn't have enough of it in the first world war. Russia seems to have faith in ignorance via lies and deception.
USA threatening Canada and Greenland - it's just badness for badness sake. We don't even treat Puerto Rico well.
