I am so sick of these "it's OK, our servers are located in Europe and the DR is in Irleand although it's a US-based company" GDPR excuses.

Das Problem ist nur, dass es leider so ist, dass es juristisch passt. Die irische Tochter ist in der EU und deren Subunternehmer sagen denen, dass die sich an alles halten, inklusive Vertrag, TIA und alles was du für Geld kaufen kannst.
Dann sagt dir die Behörde halt auch, dass hier alles in Ordnung ist. Papierstrecke ist sauber.
