Gemini is a lightweight, text-based protocol and part of the smallweb, a counterforce to the ad-driven, bloated mess the modern web has become. I genuinely love the idea.

But maintaining it was more work than I liked. md2gmi (https://github.com/n0x1m/md2gmi) did some heavy lifting, yet Gemtext still needed significant fixing. And the attention was disproportionate to the effort.

I'll fully focus on my weblog instead: https://blog.hofstede.it. Also lightweight (static, no cookies, no ads), but with actual visibility.

Gemini was a nice experiment and a great idea, but unfortunately not a successful one for me.
