I’m the kinda guy that loves to have his photo gallery organized by date/time and location captured, and downloading friends’ photos through other platforms always means I have to sacrifice on this. Very exciting to see a valid alternative!

Those are floats in a string currently while the spec wants them float. Noticed while working on a activitypub server an debugging location ingestion. As a Pixelfed admin I want to be able to turn this feature off as a standard for all users.
All users should be able to turn it off and on as a standard. And they should be able to turn it off and on for each posting.
But when they post without location, the location should not be saved for later use.

We will strip geolocation data, unless you explicitly check a box during each compose session.

Great stuff, just not great for sharing multiple photos from events as it stands.
