On I've switched to installed via @IzzyOnDroidOrg repo through @fdroidorg
It's updated regularly and more customizable that original app
My wife started to use it and for her
works, but you'll have to install the version with Google blobs from https://github.com/eddyizm/tempus/
Once she starts using something it means it's quite user friendly, so imho it's safe recommendation for everyone 🙂

and all data from server is automatically scrobbled to @ListenBrainz so you can get plenty of additional info like listening stats, recommendation playlists, recent releases... and more still to discover 🙂
