Aside from that, many of us wouldn't be willing to abandon the members of our networks and communities so we could flee, but it does illustrate something about where too many white, cishet, abled liberal's minds go to when shit starts hitting the fan.

It's also far past time for people to acknowledge and remember that systematic/institutional marginalization is one of the biggest and most consistent determinants of disability, both acquired and congenital.
