Second, a focus on tools like this (i.e. "More AI slop") in lieu of core functionality in Bluesky itself that users have been requesting for ages. A "feed" such as the type Attie would create is a user-selectable filter or algorithm of Bluesky (or other ATProto applications, in theory) posts. It's entirely user-selectable and can be unselected at any time.

However, you are correct that ATProto data is public by default. Clearsky demonstrates this well. Anyone can see whom anyone has blocked or muted, and of course anyone, including blocked users, can see someone's content with a tool like pdsls.

mttaggart@infosec.exchange

Reply to I guess Bluesky announced an AI tool for building feeds today and the locals are uhhh not having it. on Mon, 30 Mar 2026 14:53:54 GMT

@AAKL @mttaggart There have been a lot of interest from different companies towards collecting data from Bluesky, because it gives direct data feeds for people to collect.
