I wish it had all of EN downloaded offline to my app. How big could it be?

They also have all sorts of other reference material you can download for offline access like documentation for programming languages and frameworks, all sorts of wikis, stack exchange sites, etc.

Top 45,000 articles are 2 GB without images and 8 GB with images. Or you can get specific subsets if you search for some things more than others - bollywood/football/astronomy.
