On my suggestion he added this feature lifted from modern Stern boards: it shows the opto statuses with LEDs. This is so damn handy in the WPC platform where going to the menus instantly kills the ongoing game, now I can quickly check what the ball trough status is if the game thinks we're a ball short. The boars have other upgrades as well, like getting rid of the huge resistors that shake themselves off the board.</p><p>The LEDs work in reverse, so a blocked opto turns off a LED. This 4 ball variant has 5 LEDs, as there's one extra to determine a ball feeder jam situation.</p><p>In the video balls are fed one by one into the ball trough and only the ball jam switch is not triggered after all 4 are in.</p><p><a href="https://some.apz.fi/tags/repair" rel="tag">#<span>repair</span></a> <a href="https://some.apz.fi/tags/pinball" rel="tag">#<span>pinball</span></a></p>
