Republicans have long complained that the SPLC is overly leftist and partisan because the investigates and reports on white supremacist groups. I have been a longtime supporter of the SPLC and could immediately see the BS in the Trump DOJ's indictment of the SPLC this week. 1/2

Todd Blanche, Trump's former personal lawyer and now the acting United States attorney general, is weaponizing the DOJ. This case won't stand, but it's already done what it was intended--casting doubt on an honest group fighting hate in the US. 2/2
