@rootwyrm Hardware varies - has been Cisco in the past, HP recently, but may shift depending on cost, availability, and sponsorships. Equipment is often off-lease, though this is counter-intuitively more reliable in some cases. Purchase patterns vary. The position would own the entire purchasing relationship, though would be subject to reliability and cost metrics imposed by engineering and executive teams.

@ohir The position is entirely remote.Β  If there is a desire to go on site for certain deployments where it makes sense and is cheaper than remote hands, that could be arranged, but it is not required.

One thing I can say is that this is a small organization, so "engineering" would be me and two other people, and we are constantly trying to get more data to make informed decisions on where to deploy etc. So, not as much "angry noises" as "excited chatter".
