Outgoing Prime Minister Viktor Orbán submitted a request for a low-interest loan to the European Commission last year under SAFE, which will distribute €150 billion among 19 member states for military readiness across the bloc. However incoming Prime Minister Péter Magyar and his team have asked to reassess the plan based on possible ties to Hungarian industrial interests associated with Orbán.
