Today, we made some new friends: we started with two ducks, then three more showed up. Then a goose. Then a pair of grackles. Then a blue jay. Then two crows. Then another blue jay. Then another crow. And finally, a squirrel who figured out that I had pecans in my pocket.

Sometimes all you need is some oats and nuts, some time, and some company.

It was a good day.
