He showed a screenshot of his marketplace sales history and everything! I do not play the game Rust, and immediately verified that I didn't have the transaction in my history.</p><p>It took a minute for the scam to develop, but our nonfriend MoneyTrees got to the hook quickly enough: For some reason now I "took" his item (that he listed for sale) so he reported me to Steam. And <em>three hours ago</em>, Steam Support responded with their plans for moderation: a 24-hour ban and full suspension! This is serious!</p><p>Obviously I've heard nothing, because Dorktrees means to have me log in somewhere else to jack my account. But I'm not that concerned about it; I won't be using Steam very soon.</p><p>I probably overplayed my hand, since I haven't heard from ScamyTrees since.
