Good suggestions elsewhere in this thread, I will add a couple of my favorite sites of ancient Roman Paris: Musée Cluny and Arène de Lutece.

It's fine, but there were things in the city we didn't have time for that we collectively agreed would have been time better spent.

Also, croissants, pain du chocolate and macarons seem to get all the love in tourist sites, but if I can only get one item from a French bakery, it's a kouign-amann (pronounced queen aman). Highly recommend you get one while you're there.

You could fill a weekend just walking around soaking it in and stopping at appropriate intervals for wine and cheese.

Of the big museums I've only been to the Musee d'Orsay, their impressionist collection is wonderful.

I had an outstanding meal here - tiny bistro, family feels, incredibly good food.
