'It makes little sense that we disdain these acts while lauding orchestras & touring theatre companies. What after all, are the London Symphony Orchestra of the Royal Shakespeare Company but tribute acts taken to their highest cultural pitch... art can live on forever in the souls of this who love it. What could be a great tribute than that'!

Tribute acts sustain the creative act(s) of past (& resting) musicians!

And what to call a reconstituted band with one or more original members but one or more new members touring and playing original (though often slightly modified) works? A kind of hybrid tribute band playing covers?
