So I've made a jig for scoring and snapping acrylic, reliably and accurately.

So far the score* is 25 sheets cut, not one cracked. Very happy...

Cooling … maybe a use for that Vortex Tube I bought 30 years ago!?! Am pretty sure I know where it is in the basement 😉

High velocity compressed air might blow away the melted bits quick enough to keep the cut relatively clean.

I’ve only used the reverse the tooth angle technique with a circular blade which worked and is slow.

Similarly, if you make the mistake of using a jigsaw, don't stop until you finish the cut and weld process, or you'll never get the blade out.

The cut closes up behind the blade. Cooling is a must.

I have also heard about putting the circular saw blade on backwards for cutting acrylic, if you don't have a special blade for it.

I also learned that acrylic cuts nicely with a circular saw, if you ever need to cut larger sheets down to size.
