I was obsessed with it for many years. I do think it still holds up even today and was a bell weather for where we were headed.

Back in the 1970's-80's there was some real conversation happening about overpopulation, and resource depletion. It was talked about in school, saw regular features in newscasts, etc.

But by 1990-95, it just - stopped.

Now, yes I realize a lot of this was due to religious push-back (jesus needs his army after all)

But, it does seem to me a major point in the environmental discussion, that is not to be spoken of these days..
