Roughly 7 million of them—70 percent of the population—have an account…Most young people in Hungary also have a TikTok account. Social media was key in forming the islands—especially for older people who found one another on Facebook. It has also been a way to receive messaging from the Tisza party—about the corruption of Orbán’s circle, for example—that might not have otherwise broken through.
