A pottery kiln that was found beneath a primary school is more significant than thought. Originally it was though that it dated back to the Tudor era, but now it is believed to date 100 years earlier. The kiln supplied pottery to the Sutton area and beyond. Whilst no complete pots have been found, over a tonne of fragments have given an idea of how much was being produced. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c0e73jyr8zpo
