No more waiting on the street without heating/cooling or a bathroom!

I'll never forgive Greyhound for selling their company to a German conglomerate, liquidating their bus stations and generally degrading their quality of service to the point that I'm no longer willing to ride their busses. They will ruthlessly degrade their own services to make a quick buck.

The fact that the city had to step in to get this done when Greyhound is the one making money from the intercity bus riders is insane. I don't know what the ideal model is, but the government should have some kind of control over intercity bus services, these companies can't be trusted not to ruin it. And who is impacted the most by the decline of these services? You guessed it, people who can't afford a car.

Philly’s revived Greyhound station is opening Friday for the first time in three years
https://www.inquirer.com/transportation/new-philadelphia-intercity-bus-station-opens-filbert-street-20260430.html

#transit #Philly #urbanism
