He kept it. Other workers started doing the same. The pile has now grown into a public library of over 9,000 books, run by sanitation workers, in an old brick factory 📚

I went to throw away our paper in the paper bin, and found it was chock full of books. I called up my family and we retrieved them all. A few years later I read something similar in the news. Now this. It seems to be surprisingly common, all things considered, and I'm not surprised. Probably related to some old relative dying and the descendants not knowing what to do with the books, I suspect.
